Pyramid of the Sun

The Cradle of History
In Egypt falls
Freedom and Democracy!
Are the citizen's calls.

Museums looted,
Artifacts lost
Just sitting and watching,
Despite all the cost?

One Nobel Laureate
Pleads with another
Please help win freedom
Please help us my Brother

The King of Hope
The Lord of Change
Does nothing but watch
He is out of his range.

Us American people
Why don't we help?
Instead we just sway
A forest of kelp.

Cairo's awoken
The streets now ablaze
A Presidential silence
Just a Political maze.

Mr President, what's wrong?
Just make a choice!
The Egyptians have spoken,
With Democracy's voice!

You sit there idle,
Confused and afraid
The Pharoh's time's up
He's dues to be paid.

Egyptians are the caretakers
Of all the World's past
Is is not time
To help them at last?

Democracy calls
In the streets full of crowds
They await Us Americans
To help move these dark clouds

You sit on your hands
A Presidential hedge
While the Egyptian people
Stand on a ledge

So stand up and offer
Our American Might!
For once I just ask you,
Can we do what is right?

Egyptians are calling
For freedom from fear
And still you do nothing,
You refuse to hear.

Yes, Americans are divided
Yet we are strong and just
And when Freedom sings out
We will do what we must!

Help Egypt's peoples
Earth's History Nest
The people want Liberty
That which we know best.
